What to expect
A magnificent experience of ancient Athens!
We will start our day by strolling up the Acropolis hill, while stopping at plenty of spots to discuss photography tips and image composition. From Acropolis Hill through Dionysiou Areopagitou and Ermou street we will walk to Kerameikos. Kerameikos is the ancient cemetery of the city and one of the most beautiful but least visited archeological sites in downtown Athens. There you can admire the Sacred Gate, where pilgrims from Eleusis used to cross to and from the site though the Sacred road. From Kerameikos we will walk to Agora (Ancient and Roman) beneath the northwest slope of Acropolis, where we can admire some iconic sites like the Hephaestus Temple, Stoa of Attalus, Gate of Athena Archegetis, Tower of the Winds etc.
We will finish up our tour by photographing Hadrian Arch and Temple of Zeus one of the most important remains of the ancient city, dedicated to Olympian Zeus. By the end of the day you will have-under our suggestions- a variety of well-composed pictures, to take away with you, from the most important Athenian landmarks.
Note: There will be a two hours break before visiting Roman Agora, so you can have lunch at a place of your choice. Lunch and refreshments are not included in the price
